Virtual Real Estate

Virtual Real Estate…yes, it’s a thing. While we want to make sure we are taking precautions during this time, we don’t want you to miss out on achieving your real estate goals. Just because we are all cooped up at home doesn’t mean you can’t close on the home of your dreams…all while sitting on the couch in your pjs! This is all thanks to virtual real estate.

A typical home buying process starts with the agent providing a list of properties to the client. Afterward come the reviews, showings, negotiations, inspections and so on. This workflow has remained the same for decades. However, we are finding new ways to not only speed up the home buying and selling process, but make it more convenient for you and your family. Virtual reality is already a game changer in the transformation of the real estate industry.

Photo and video included in online listings currently dominate the way real estate is viewed. As a potential buyer, you now have the option to get a feel for your next potential home digitally. Buyers are no longer required to be in the same zip code or hop on a plane to check out the property they are interested in purchasing. From the privacy of your own home, you can now feel like you’ve been virtually dropped into a home for a private viewing.

Due to the accessible technology we have today, our team is able to offer virtual tours and walkthroughs, online mortgage applications, remote notarization (allowing buyers and sellers to close on a home without actually being in the same room) and the use of softwares such as FaceTime, Skype and Zoom to make your real estate experience more pleasing. Here at RE/MAX Community, we want to continue to make your dreams a reality in the safest most convenient way possible.

Our very own Lauren Stracuzzi-Purkey was able to close on a luxury waterfront home in Sailfish Point…virtually! This spectacular home on a canal was sold for $3,565,000. Lauren was able to virtually communicate with her buyer as her flight to Stuart was canceled when visiting New York. Thanks to the amazing technology of FaceTime, the buyer was able to participate in the inspection, the walkthrough and digitally sign off on her dream home.

Since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Treasure Coast real estate market has shown no signs of slowing down. Our phones are ringing and closings are being scheduled….virtually of course. We have received many requests for video tours, online profiles and virtual open houses that we are happy to accommodate.

With our world becoming more adaptable to technology every day, clients are becoming more comfortable with virtual real estate and we are here to help them along the way. We are continuing to adjust our practices to best serve our clients in achieving their real estate goals with outstanding professionalism, attention to detail and over-commitment to service.
